Privacy Policy

Delve (delve.video) is operated by CallRise LLC ("Delve", "we", "us"). Delve helps you search and study the knowledge inside YouTube channels and podcasts. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, optional username and interests, and a securely hashed password. Delve is invite-only; we record who invited you.
• Things you create — collections, highlights, annotations, and notes. Annotations are public by default; paid accounts can make them private.
• Usage data — searches, result clicks, AI chat queries, and content you view. We use this to rank results, enforce plan limits, and improve the product. IP addresses are used for rate limiting and stored only in hashed form in search logs.
• Payment data — subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. We never see or store your card number; we store your plan and subscription status.
• Analytics — we use PostHog to understand product usage.

Content we process

Delve analyzes publicly available content — YouTube videos and podcast episodes — to produce transcripts, summaries, concepts, and study material. Podcast audio is retrieved from the show's public RSS feed, the standard distribution mechanism podcast publishers opt into. This content is about creators, not about you; the personal data this policy covers is described in the sections above and below.

Google user data (claimed channels)

Creators can claim their YouTube channel by connecting their Google account. If you do this, here is exactly what happens:

• What we access: your basic Google account identifier and email (to sign you in to the claim), your YouTube channel ID (to verify you own the channel you're claiming), and the caption tracks of videos on channels you have claimed (to build transcripts and study material for your channel).
• What we do with it: verify channel ownership and generate transcripts, summaries, and analysis for your claimed channel. That's it.
• What we never do: we do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or where required by law.
• AI/ML: we do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Caption text from your claimed channel is processed by our AI service providers (listed below) solely to produce the transcripts and analysis shown to you and your audience.
• Storage and revocation: access tokens are encrypted at rest. You can disconnect your channel at any time in Settings, or revoke Delve's access from your Google account permissions. When access is revoked we stop accessing your Google data and delete the stored tokens.

Delve's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers

We share data with providers only so they can perform services for us, and they may not use it for their own purposes:

• Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq — AI processing of content (transcription and analysis)
• Paddle — payments and subscription management (merchant of record)
• Mailgun — transactional email
• PostHog — product analytics
• Hetzner — hosting; Amazon Web Services — file storage and backups
• Honeybadger — error monitoring

We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect against request forgery, and analytics cookies to understand how Delve is used.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and associated personal data, email [email protected] — we'll complete deletion within 30 days. If you unclaim a channel, you can also request deletion of the transcripts we generated from your claimed captions.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by emailing us. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local law; we honor reasonable requests regardless of jurisdiction.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and credentialed.

Children

Delve is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date. For material changes affecting Google user data or paid plans, we'll email account holders.
